The Director of Business Development serves as a key strategic leader responsible for driving growth initiatives across existing and emerging markets. Reporting directly to the VP of Business Development, this role provides critical oversight of strategic planning, key account development, and cross-functional execution to expand market presence.
This individual will lead business development efforts across multiple product lines and market segments, develop long-term growth strategies, and identify high-value opportunities in partnership with the VP. The Director will oversee and mentor senior managers and team members, ensuring that forecasts, market intelligence, and customer engagement plans are aligned with strategic objectives.
Manages subordinate managers and non-supervisory sales and marketing personnel. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel and talk or hear. Occasionally required to stand, walk, sit, and reach with hands and arms. Specific vision abilities required include close vision.
